Summertime!

It's officially summer! Summertime is exciting for me because it has been the time of year when we make the most progress on the house. Things seem to come to a standstill in the colder months when it's too cold for Hubby to be out in the garage working on projects. As I type this he is out there painting the French doors for the patio and shelves for the living room built-ins. So soon I will have some progress photos to share!

I also like summer because of all the flea markets and garage sales. I've been inspired lately by rooms with a bevy of vintage-looking art and accessories (particularly those with a gallery wall):

I've been picking up a few treasures here and there. When I start to take some photos of our recent progress I will point them out. This weekend we are heading back to our hometown and will probably stop by a neighboring town's annual flea market. I will be keeping some of my "Favorite Items" from Etsy in the back of my mind --you never know what might turn up...

I'll let you know how the hunting goes. I plan to be posting a lot more as progress on the house unfolds this summer!
